TERMS & CONDITIONS – SWIMMING PROGRAMS
Wellers Hill State School Parents & Citizens Association (WHSS P&C) Swim School and Amateur Swim Club subcommittee standard terms and conditions apply upon enrolment.
Registrations & Bookings
Please note that all primary school aged children or younger must be accompanied and actively supervised by a parent or guardian unless the child is attending SACCS on the day of their lesson.
Registrations and bookings for children are made via the website. All other enquiries are to be emailed to the appropriate email address.
Bookings for children are paid in advance. If you are intending to use a voucher, please forward the voucher via email to be applied to your account. Vouchers can only be applied to swim lessons.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations of lessons for a swimming term can be made up to 7 days prior to the commencement of the swimming lesson term start date. Change of days are available but are dependent upon availability. Refunds will not apply due to change of mind after the cancellation period.
If at any stage, your child has a Medical Certificate that results in their booking needing to be cancelled for the remainder of the Term, a credit or refund will apply from the date of emailed receipt of the certificate. Cancellations must be received in writing via email only.
Missed Swimming Lessons
Make-ups for swim lessons will only apply under the following circumstances:
• Wellers Hill State School Parents & Citizens Swim School have cancelled a lesson due to inclement weather or CHO requirement or other*.
• A Medical Certificate has been emailed within 7 days of the missed lesson.
• Notice of school absenteeism due to illness is provided on or before the day of the lesson via email.
Make-up booking times will be arranged based on availability and are not guaranteed. If a make-up lesson has been arranged and is missed, then this lesson is forfeited.
*If WHSS P&C Association cancels a lesson, a credit will be automatically applied to your account at the end of the term if your child has not participated in a make-up lesson for same. If you do not book for the next term, a refund will apply upon request.
Behaviour
For the welfare of everyone attending our pool, rude or disrespectful behaviour is not accepted.
• If a child displays rude or disrespectful behaviour, they may be asked to sit out from the lesson for an appropriate period.
• Any adult who displays rude or disrespectful behaviour may be asked to leave the premises immediately and take responsibility for children in their care.
• No refunds will be given for a lesson where a child or adult has been removed.
• WHSS P&C reserves the right to refuse entry or to cancel bookings.
Health & Safety
Health & Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
• Please review and adhere to the COVID Safe Plan document on our website.
• Swimmers are not to enter the water before the teacher instructs them to do so.
• Please follow all health and safety rules as advised by the instructors or other staff and as displayed.
• Parents/carers are responsible for their children before and after lessons, as well as any child/children in your care whilst lessons are underway.
• Swimmers are not to run around the pool.
• All attendees should remain seated on the benches provided and refrain from walking around the edge of the pool unless they are called for their lesson, or race.
• Swimming caps and goggles are to be worn in the pool.
• Adults are not to enter the change rooms - please ensure children can independently change their clothing.
• Whenever possible, suitable footwear should be worn in the showers and around the pool.
• All open skin areas are to be covered with an occlusive dressing. An occlusive dressing is one which will block the wound from contact with the water.
• Band-Aids or similar are not allowed to be worn into the pool.
General
It is recommended that children and adults do not bring any valuable items into the pool area if possible.
• WHSS P&C does not accept any responsibility for lost or stolen items.
